Since early childhood Suzanne has been fascinated with art and creating art.
While raising a family she followed this fascination initially on a career
path of Commercial Art and then focusing on her ultimate passion - creating
Fine Art.
Although greatly influenced by Illustrators and Fine Artists alike,
Suzanne’s style is all her own. She strives to create paintings and drawings
that allow viewers to see her subjects, as they have never seen them before.
Suzanne enjoys working with the elements of color, movement, texture
and shape to create playful and unique pieces. Patterns are often a strong
element in her work. Watercolor and acrylics are Suzanne’s favorite mediums,
although she also enjoys working in mixed media and various drawing media as
well.
Suzanne’s subjects reflect the interest she has in the natural world,
often focusing on animals and botanicals. Due to the diversity of our
environment, and an active imagination, she is never at a loss for subject
ideas.
Suzanne’s paintings and drawings have been shown extensively
throughout the Phoenix Metropolitan area. She has been exhibiting nationally
since 2003 and has had six solo shows. Suzanne has been the recipient of
over twenty awards for her paintings. Her work has been purchased for
inclusion in a number of private and corporate art collections.
Suzanne has achieved Signature Membership in the International Society
of Acrylic Painters and is a Juried Member of The Arizona Watercolor
Society, The Arizona Artists Guild and The Arizona Art Alliance. She belongs
to numerous other national and regional art organizations and is a recipient
of Strathmore’s Who’s Who Honor for Visual Artists.
